CLEAN WATER INITIATIVE:

What we do: Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization provides vulnerable communities with access to portable drinking water . Our goal is to build various water systems by means of hand pumps and deep water wells with storage tanks that provide drinking water for everyday use for the community in need. These water systems can also be installed as part of Sadaqa Jariyah. We hope that each donation, will not only benefit your loved ones but will also supply water to communities in water-scarce areas of Pakistan.

What we give: We customize each water hand pump with a nameplate of choice. For each deep water well tank, the donor has the ability to customize both nameplate and art design. Our goal is to make the experience of building water systems easy and enjoyable. Upon completion of each installation, the donor will receive pictures, and videos of the location, boring, flooring, and completion.

What it costs: A water hand pump will cost $250. A deep water well with storage tank will cost $1300 (cost can vary due to many factors including whether additional drilling has to be done, more resources are needed, or solar panels, bigger motor system,a lot more labor and hardware to be included, etc.

Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization (LMWO) is working with our community and global partners to help increase water access to hard-to-reach communities in Pakistan. This includes rural communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh-Karachi.

In recent years, millions of people in Pakistan have been afflicted by climate change. With an increase in severe flooding, famine, and drought, many individuals within communities find themselves displaced with little to no resources. They are in urgent need of humanitarian aid– this includes aid around access to safe drinking water.

At Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization (LMWO), with the help of donations from our partners, we will continue to bring drinking water to Pakistan, while also restoring water systems that may have been impacted by the recent climate disasters.

Our water projects include:

Water Pump: $250
Deepwater Well/ Tank*: $1300
Solar Panel Water Tank*: $1,000 – $5,000

*Cost may vary depending on additional resources needed in the area.

For those that may have recently lost a loved one or would like to give charity on behalf of a person who is sick, we provide an option for donors to engrave their name on plaque or keep it anonymous. Donating on behalf of a loved one makes for an incredible gift, and we at LMWO, make the process easy and keep communication transparent (sharing pictures/ videos of each process until completion).

ORPHAN & WIDOW ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:

Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization is continuously working to support widows and orphans by helping them meet their everyday needs. These needs may include (but not limited to): housing, medical support, education, food supply, household needs, and clothing.

Provide educational supplies for children of widows so that they can attend school rather than work to support the family.
Provide financial assistance to widows to help their family meet basic needs.
Provide medical support for widows and children (when necessary).
Provide dry ration for individuals and families in need of food.
Water hand pump is built for households that need clean drinking water.
Help provide clothing, shoes, toys for children.

What we give: Upon completion of each donation, the donor will receive pictures of family and project.

What it costs: Supporting one family with $50 (without school fee) and $100 (with tuition fee).

CONSTRUCTION OF HOMES PROGRAM:

As a result of severe floodings in Pakistan, millions of people have been displaced without food and shelter. Many are fighting daily with malnutrition and to stay warm in the record low temperatures. Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization (LMWO) is responding to the urgent humanitarian crisis by helping rebuild Pakistan one home at a time. Our main objective is to help construct homes for families (including orphans and widows) that are in dire need of shelter.

What we do: Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization is working to provide low-income individuals and families (mostly widows and orphans) with affordable housing. With the help of your donations, we hope to combat the housing and economic problem in Pakistan by re-building or constructing new homes for those in need. Each project varies by need and is based on two factors: urgency of housing needed for those that don’t have any or housing needed as means for necessary income to help support low-income families of widows or orphans.

What we give: Upon completion of each construction, the donor will receive pictures ,videos step by step of notarized contract ,location,flooring, and completion.

What it costs: A house with one room will cost $1300 (without bathroom) and $1600 (with bathroom)varies according to location and economic inflation.

SUPPORTING BOYS ORPHANAGE IN RAWALPINDI

Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization (LMWO) helps assist orphan children in Pakistan through various aid projects throughout the year.

These projects include:

Monthly Financial Assistance – Assist with costs related to groceries/ basic household items/utilities/rent. We recommend donating $50 per individual/ month without a tuition fee and 100 per family with a tuition fee.
Assistance with Education – Assist with fees related to school/ books/ supplies.
Ration Drive – Throughout the year, and especially around the holidays (Eid), our organization conducts a ration drive to help bring food to families.
Clothing Drive – Give out jackets, sweaters, socks, hats, gloves, blankets, and other materials, especially in winter months.
Toy Drive – Help bring toys for children.
Medical Assistance – Assist with medical costs.

Currently, we are supporting and assisting a boy’s orphanage in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. If you would like to donate and help support an orphan child, a monthly cost of $30 will help provide basic household necessities and food. currently, there are 200 boys from the age of 4 years to m21 years old

First we evaluate each family’s needs, their skills and then help them according to start their business which will help them to stand on their feet without monthly support

Laiba memorial helped families who lost their jobs during the pandemic.

Help widows to start their business from home and make them able to support their own families without to monthly support

What we give: Upon completion of distribution, donors will receive pictures of the project.

What it costs: At least 1000 (variable)

No minimum cost needed. All donations will go towards building small businesses and self employment for low income individuals.

COMMUNITY RELEIF PROGRAM:

Our organization conducts various drives throughout the year to help bring food, clothing, and toys to families in need. We observe Eid and other major holidays in Pakistan.

Throughout the year, Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization works to provide dry ration packages during disaster situations, in Ramadan, and in preparation for Eid. Our goal is to provide food and services to low income families each year. Location of drive and distribution is dependent on urgency and need.

PLANT & TREE PROGRAM:

This program allows for individuals to donate towards planting a tree in Pakistan and contributing towards nature conservation.

Our goal at Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization (LMWO) is to protect and expand forestation throughout Pakistan by means of planting fruit trees and other plants. We hope that this program is a positive first step towards long term improvement of the environment.

A suggested minimum donation of $20/ per tree.

Plant fruit trees to provide free fruits for ones who cannot afford to buy them .

What we give: Upon completion of distribution, donors will receive pictures of the project.

What it costs: No minimum cost needed. All donations will go towards food distribution. Food packages will vary depending on money raised.

Where we build: Sindh, Punjab, KPK.

BUILD A SCHOOL & EDUCATIONAL SERVICES:

Laiba Memorial Welfare Organization (LMWO) is committed to improving educational opportunities in Pakistan by constructing schools for children and enabling them with the skills needed to flourish in the labor market as adults. With the help of our local communities and donations, we hope to build schools throughout the country.

We strongly believe that the opportunity to pursue education should be available for every child. Not only will education help increase their access to better opportunities later in life (jobs/ personal) but will help them make better life decisions.

Currently we have built schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lakki Marwat, and in Abba Khail.
